Cowboy Christmas

Dec 8, 2008
This morning Lynne and I went down to the Cowboy Christmas at the Convention Center. They have anything and everything related to Cowboy/Western products. Lots of artwork, furniture, clothing, horse supplies, to trailers and so on.
We probably spent 3 hours looking around at things. About the neatest thing we seen was some Mesquite furniture that was just absolutely beautiful. The metal artwork in the one photo was real nice too

Rodeo Night

Dec 8, 2008
We went to the rodeo tonight and had a good time. Hopped on a shuttle bus at the Excalibur Hotel that delivered us right to the front door of the Thomas and Mack center. We had good seats in the balcony 4 rows up in the corner of the roping end of the arena. It's really quite the experiance to attend. After the rodeo we did have to wait outside for about an hour to catch a shuttle back the hotel but everyone was talking and joking around with each other and having fun so the time went by fast

Las Vegas NFR Triip

Got into Vegas on Dec 7 about 4:30 in the afternoon. Grabbed our rental car and headed over to Treasure Island for one night. Got checked in with no wait for a change.

We had supper at Isla at the Treasure Island which is an upscale mexican restaurant. Excellent food but expensive, maybe the ten dollar margaritas had something to do with it.

After supper we hopped in a cab and went over to the Lv Hilton to see Brooks and Dunn. We picked up the tickets at the box office. Having an hour or so to kill Lynne and I found a bar that had the NFR on so we grabbed a seat and watched for a while.

Now for the Brooks and Dunn show. Absolutely fantastic! Ronnie Dunn still sounds as good as ever. The show room is fairly small so every seat was a good one. They played a nearly 2 hour long set, rocking one minute then a ballad the next. About the only hit I don't recall them playing was Hard Working Man. I can't say enough It was one of the best show we have ever seen!!!

Chrismas card photos

We took Christmas card pictures the other day.
As usual Bailey wouldn't cooperate with the camera. Sam did better, notice his pretty blue eyes
This was the first time is a couple of years we took our own photos.
They turned out pretty well for us doing them
